Washington DC

Taylor and I took a trip to Washington DC a few weeks ago to visit Taylor's brother Colby and his wife Maria who live out there, and who we have so much fun with. The best part was probably just being together--with Colby and Maria and with each other. Taylor and I spent a lot of time wandering around Washington DC without a plan, which I loved. One day ended up being spent mostly at the Smithsonian art museums (he really loves me), and the rest of the time we tried to fit in the stuff people expect you to see in Washington DC, which was also really great. Colby and Maria took us to an open street market where I wanted to buy everything, but settled for a really huge plate of pancakes and another night they took us to a national park by the Potomic River which was beautiful. It was such a fun trip and good break. It was also a good reminder of how much I love this country, how much I love Taylor, how much I love to shop, how much I love hot dogs, and how much I love our kids (I missed them).
