Max turned 5 and we had a birthday party! A Lego birthday party even. Max was SO excited!
His friends came and Charlie and Anna were there and Dad helped do really hilarious Lego games and I just tried to keep everyone happy, and it turned out great.
We also had family over for cake and ice cream another night and Max was SO excited again. Grandma Judy gave him some pajamas for him and his doll named Max that matched, and that made him really happy.
We were in Idaho Falls for Uncle Carter's wedding on the Max's real birthday, so it was more excitement and presents from Mom and Dad and the Davises. Prettty much, Max had a ton of birthday fun this year and is all stocked up on Imaginext stuff and Legos. What will Santa bring now!?
Things I want to remember about four-year-old Max.
- Max is fearless. He is brave and strong. At Disneyland he would have gone on any ride there and he loved the exciting ones I was willing to go with him on.
- Max wants to do things right. He doesn't want to mess anything up and has a hard time being patient with himself sometimes.
- Max has tons of energy. Way more than his Mom does. He gives hugs with lots of energy, talks with lots of energy, and plays with lots of energy.
- Max loves his family. He is my best helper when it comes to Georgia. He is so attentive and so good at entertaining her, and he's willing to keep her happy for a long time.
- Max is a special friend to his sister Anna and a good buddy to Charlie.
- Max is interested in Legos and making stuff especially paper air planes. He makes me laugh when he talks about stuff like molecules and gravity because he listens to all kinds of cool things his Uncle Wesley tells him and then remembers every word.
- Max is a great reader and pretty much I had nothing to do with that.
- If I need to remember something, I tell Max and he doesn't let me forget. For instance, we put Max in charge of helping us remember to read scriptures and we never miss.
- Max asks me every night "What's the schedule of the day tomorrow?"
- Max has the greatest smile.
