(two months late)
Oh fun! Anna wanted a beach party with a treasure hunt for her birthday which sounded pretty fun. We had so many fun kids come to celebrate. We dug for sea shells, played water games, and went on a treasure hunt to find burried treasure. I assigned Taylor to be in charge of the treasure hunt and he of course made it extremely awesome. It was a way fun, easy party.
On Anna's actual birthday we were in Canada so we had a fun party with all the Davises. Anna got a Merida doll from the movie Brave. She accidentally found it in our luggage before her birthday, but she tried to act surprised for us when she opened it.
We love our sweet six year old. Oh my goodness, she is a wonderful girl. It has been a fun year with her. Here are some things I want to remember . . .
1. Anna is such a peacemaker in our home. She shares with her brothers and loves to laugh with them.
2. Anna is a great soccer player and has gotten so much better since last year (she cares a little less about what the treat is going to be at the end of the game and a little more about playing soccer.) Her and Taylor and Max have had so much fun this year practicing together, and cheering for each other.
3. Anna has stuck with physical therapy this year to help her with her tippy toing and she is doing so much better. She loved everyone at physical therapy and became famous there when she told them all this disgusting story . . . (in Anna's words) "One night at dinner we were all eating and mom said, "my chair feels like there's something sticky on it". Then my brother said "Charlie had an accident", Then my dad said "uh oh, I wiped it up with the wash rag". And my mom said "Ahhhh! I wiped the TABLE with that wash rag!" So my dad said
"EVERYONE!!!! KEEP YOUR FOOD ON YOUR PLATES!"
Welcome to life at our house.
4. Anna loves reading, especially Junie B. Jones.
5. Anna loves to sleep in. First grade has been an adjustment, but she loves it and then sleeps in on Saturday. She instructs us all on Friday night not to wake her up in the morning. We think she's like a princess sleeping in her tower up high on her bunk bed.
6. When I asked Anna what she wanted to be for Halloween this year she told me she'd like to be a banana so she could be "Anna Banana". One banana costume coming up.
7. Anna loves to remember cool facts and then tell them to us when she comes home from school. She is thinking she loves science.
8. Anna is such a great helper. She is a little mommy to Georgia and Charlie and such a good buddy to Max and me and her Dad.
We love you Anna Leita!
