It has been a long road to get this little girl here safely and we love her. It has also been a long road to get me back to being a full-functioning mommy who does laundry and everything. After Georgia was born, I was determined to recover quickly and be back in good shape taking care of our family immediately. Unfortunately, it didn't work out like that and I was pretty sick for the first few weeks of her life including another week in the hospital and more not fun medical stuff. In an attempt to cheer up a very sad, whiny wife, Taylor took me on a date a few weeks ago to get newborn pictures of Georgia. It was a really perfect way to celebrate this sweet baby being here. She is a miracle--we realized that more than ever when I continued to have health problems after she was born. Currently, she is growing like crazy and letting me hold her all of the time. I am no longer feeling sad and whiny and (do I dare say it?) life at our house is seeming nice and normal--more so than it has in months. I am so thankful for my four sweet kids and so thankful to be able to spend my days taking care of them.
