Summer Days

A picnic and walk in the canyon. Not as hot and a dirt free-for-all. Anna and Max are both in love with dirt, (Anna likes to poke sticks in it, and Max likes to eat it).

Lots of hugs. Max thinks this is just life--to have a little girl constantly poking and squeezing him. He doesn't mind, the closer she gets, the better chance he has of grabbing her beautiful hair.

Painting with chalk. I like drawing with Anna because whatever I draw for her she says "ooooh, cute, pretty Mommy". Anna mostly draws circles and worms. We love to go out during Max's nap and color the sidewalk, then show daddy when he gets home. Max isn't usually invited yet--he eats chalk.

Homemade Popsicles. Drippy and yummy.

Hats and lots of sunscreen. I hope I always remember how my summer babies smell like sunscreen.

The zoo. So many things to see. Anna made sure to tell all the animals hello and good bye. Hi monkeys, bye monkeys. Hi penguins, bye penguins. Hi alligators, bye elephants. That's how it went. Max watched the animals--i think his favorite was the train ride. He stood right up on Taylor's lap to see out and I don't think he blinked the whole time.

no, they don't measure up. They are little babies, and I am so glad!!
