Itty-Bitty Basketball

In January Anna and Max got to do a basketball clinic at the rec center for three and four-year olds. They loved it. Our neighbor Quinn even ended up being on their team! It took Max a little bit to warm up, but it helped that he and Anna were on the same team. By the last day he was maybe feeling a little too comfortable being on the same team with Anna. I just watched from the stands as their coach tried to keep the teasing under control . They learned lots of basketball things like how to guard the basket, chest passes, bounce passes, and the sign you make for 'time out". The last day Leo the Lion came, and even though I don't know what Leo is the mascot for, we were so excited that we got to meet him and give him a high five. We love Leo.

Outside

Welcome 50 degrees! I'm usually ready for spring on about December 27th, and my kids are showing serious signs of having been inside all winter long. More pictures have been knocked off walls this last week by jumping, flipping children than any other week in Davis family history. We are taking advantage of the good weather. Hurray for playing outside!

Charlie loves this little car. He sat in it for an hour--I was pushing it some of the time and some of the time he was just hanging out and talking on his cell phone. When it was time to get out, he was heartbroken and I almost brought the car inside. I wonder really how long he would sit in it. I might bring it inside. I might bring it to church.

We also took a trip to the petting zoo last week after Taylor got home from being out of town all week. It was so good to have daddy there with us--he makes everything so much more fun.

Max prefers to tuck his pants inside of his cowboy boots--otherwise, he wouldn't be able to see ALL of his boots and that would make him sad.

Charlie meets a goat.

Anna in her bunny hat--it's hard for her to decide whether to wear it over her eyes so she looks like a bunny (that's fun, but it's dark) or to wear it like a normal hat (that's not dark, but it's boring).

Faces I Love

I've had a week of realizing how thankful I am for these little faces. . .
