Hello Charlie

Charlie's Birth Day
We went to the hospital to have Charlie on Monday, January 18th at 7:00. It was all very planned which was a new experience for us, and a very good one. Because of swine flu the hospital has rules right now that no kids under 14 can come to visit, so Anna and Max went up to Logan to stay at Grandma Judy's and Grandpa Bob's to play while we were at the hospital. I missed them so much! We were so excited to finally meet Charlie and I couldn't wait to have our family all together. I was induced at 7:30 and Charlie was born at 9:30, and it was an amazingly easy labor. Charlie was a big baby--9 lbs and 4 oz. He looked just exactly like Max to me in those first moments, except with his own sweet spirit and soft, soft blonde hair. Even before Charlie was born I thought I could tell that he was calm and content, and it has proven true. He is a sweet, sweet boy and we love him so much. I feel very blessed to be his mommy.

Happy 2010!
New Years Eve included a candle light dinner of hot dogs and chips and such that Anna and Max were both extremely impressed with. The ambiance made them both feel like whispering and we all stayed at the table for a record amount of time (probably 13 minutes or something close). I see more candle light dinners in our future.
After our special dinner Taylor made a fort and they all watched Cars together (also for about 13 minutes) When we were done with the movie we played in our fort for a while and then went to bed a few hours before midnight so that our 2010 could have a happy beginning!

We can't wait for all this year will bring! We are of course especially excited and ready for the first big deal of 2010--a new baby! Any time now, would be fine.

Christmas and other December Days
1. Making rice crispy Christmas trees . . .
Came to Earth so meek and mild.
Came to Earth to show the way,
Praise we sing on Christmas Day
