Disneyland!

I cannot believe that I haven't written about our recent trip to Disneyland yet! It was such a fun three days with our kids and with Taylor's mom and dad and Carter and Casey. We loved spending time with them and we loved Disneyland. Anna wishes she lived in Disneyland with the Princesses and Mickey Mouse. Max wishes he could sleep sideways in Mom's bed every night and ride on It's a Small World all day, everyday. Taylor wishes that he could ride on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters all day, everyday so that he could get to level 5. (isn't that a kid ride?) And I wish that I could eat corndogs for lunch everyday. (If Taylor's reading this, he's thinking, "you do eat corndogs for lunch everyday." But they are not Disneyland corndogs which are in a whole different corndog league.) Anyway, it was rough coming from the happiest place on earth back to real life, but at least we have our souveniers, such as a princess photo album and a scantily clad Little Mermaid doll so that we can remember to talk about it everyday. Fun memories!

Sunny Day

Celebrity Sighting: Anna Leita enjoyed the sunny weather while feeding the fish at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens.

Max commemorated the end of winter by eating some more dirt.

I am, as always, ecstatic to see spring because I kind of need sunshine to be happy. Pretty flowers help too.

Award Night

Now that I'm a mom, I never win awards anymore. So here are some I am going to give myself.
  • First Place in Cleaning Up Other Peoples' Messes. (cheerfully, of course)
  • Most Excellent Sense of Smell--I'm so proud.
  • Hold ALL Diaper Changing Records--both for the sheer number of diaper changes (I figure so far about 3,896 and counting) and for the speediest diaper changes (something like 2.4 seconds which is how long Max will hold still for.) Amazing, really.
  • Chef Extraordinaire--with a special knack for Dino Nuggets
  • Voted Best Dishwasher Loader Around
  • Most Improved Bread Maker
  • The Attendance Award--gets the job done when any less dedicated person would be home in bed crying.
  • Voted Best Dishwasher Unloader Around
  • Employee of the Century at the Davis Home
Wow that was a lot of awards. I would like to thank myself for those. I feel so much better.

PS--If you are a mom too and need any awards, just let me know--I will send a few your way.

Wedding Weekend

Taylor's sister Tina and our new brother-in-law Chris got married last weekend and we were up in Idaho Falls for all the fun. No pictures yet of the beautiful, beautiful bride and groom, but here is one of our little family. (I just have to say that Max in a tux was so much cuteness, I was afraid I would squish him.) It was such a fun weekend and I don't know if I have ever seen such a happy couple. We are very happy for the new Rusch family!

Happy Spring!

Happy Easter and April! We had an early Easter egg hunt this past weekend, and also really loved listening to General Conference. My mom and dad and Taylor, Jamie, and Wesley (what a fun group!) came down on Sunday for the day and it was a good thing--Anna loves her grandmas and grandpas and lately she has been wishing to see them almost every day. She was so excited to wake up from her nap and see Grandma Judy and Grandpa Bob. Max gave hugs and kisses to everyone too I think--including a very slobbery one for Wesley (who, unlike me, is not very accustomed to being slobbered on, but is still a wonderful uncle) Here are a few pictures of the Easter egg hunt and the bubbles that we found in our Easter baskets.
