oreo's, tinkerbell shirts, bubble baths

Eating Oreo's and taking bubble baths--those definitely top my list of stress relievers, so I should have some pretty stress-free kids.
This mess was made by one Oreo--Max's messes defy physics--I think--I'm really not good at physics.
The Tinkerbell sweatshirt is Anna's new apparel of choice. She watched the Tinkerbell movie four times for the price of two dollars at redbox, and she has a Tinkerbell camera that says "I BELIEVE in fairies!!!!!" every time she takes a picture. It's Tinkerbell at our house.

beautiful

It's naptime and I was in the last phase of my computer cleanup and organization project, when I came across my Europe pictures which first reminded me that I was in Europe, and then made me cry. I feel so different. Then I was a carefree art student crying over sculptures I saw and loved, worrying that I was going overboard by buying another pair of shoes, and wondering if I was going to get my unlabeled oil paint through airport security. Now I am a stay-at-home mom crying about the overwhelming task of caring for beautiful children, wearing my favorite sweat pants, and serving fishy crackers and apple juice to all. I'm not sad, I'm just overwhelmed, I guess, by the amazing variety of beautiful experiences we have in life. Artstudent, wife, mother, tourist. It all just makes me cry!

5

I was tagged by my sister-in-law Tina so here are the 5 quirkiest things about me that I could think of.
1. I am obsessed with interior decorating--unfortunately I have a small home makeover budget, but I LOVE thinking about the possibilities. It's a good thing Taylor gets to hear all my brilliant ideas so that he can bring me back down to earth.
2. The only ingredient I measure when I cook is baking soda--the rest I just guess on.
3. When watching movies I have a very low threshold for creepiness--Bambi is borderline. The Verizon "dead zone" commercials bother me.
4. I HAVE to serve a side dish of vegetables with every dinner. Even when we order pizza I steam frozen vegetables (usually at the last minute after an inner moral battle) to go with it.
5. I am recent convert to the idea that oil changes are necessary for the well being of my car.

White Snow

Yesterday we woke up to a snow storm and we were all very impressed. The first time it snows, it always takes my breath away--it's so white.

Funny Max could not figure out what was going on out his window. He spends a lot of time on the window seat in the living room pointing at anything outside that is moving and saying "Uz dis?" So the snowstorm had him especially occupied.

When Max went down for a morning nap Anna and I spent twenty minutes getting her snow clothes on and fifteen minutes playing in the snow but the rest of the day talking about how much fun it was and looking out the window at our very small snowman.
