Breakfast Traditions

Top your french pancake (i.e. crepe) with melted butter, powdered sugar, and orange juice. (in THAT order) Then roll it up and top it again with more powdered sugar. I haven't yet mastered the difficult (for me) art of making crepes that look like crepes every time--round, thin, etc, but with enough powdered sugar, you can't go wrong. Tastes like Saturday morning!

Bathtime

Things can be falling apart quickly with tired babies at 7:30 PM, but as soon as the bathwater is running, we turn happy. Which makes bathtime an every night occurance. More pictures of babies. I have gone picture crazy the last few days. I'm sure at least grandmas don't mind.

Anna and Mush

Mush = Max, and it is my very favorite Anna-term. Baby Mushy Davis is his long name if you ask her, and Anna Grandma Leita Davis is her long name. Here are some pictures of Baby Mushy Davis and Anna Grandma Leita Davis playing together. Did you get that?

Special Days

In Anna's words she "had a special two birthday". (August 17) Complete with a dinosaur cake, presents opened one little shred of wrapping paper at a time, and everybody singing Happy Birthday To Anna. So the question every morning since then has been "Special day today, Mommy?" I just say, "Yes, it is a special day because . . ." and then I think of something not so special (like "we're going to go to the grocery story" or "we're staying home all day and cleaning" or "we're making pizza for dinner") and add an exclamation point. It works for both of us. I feel like we have had some very special days as of late.
